Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our process involves a thorough examination of the piece and a discussion on your expectations, followed by a quote and expected timeline. If you choose to work with us, we charge half the quote up front. From there, it depends on your goals, but we typically strip it entirely of all paint and grime. Then we make any necessary repairs, paint it, and polish any pieces that need it. If there are any pieces missing we will order them or fabricate them and then do a final assembly.
Our Approach on “Restorations”
The term has a wide variety of meanings depending the person. To some the term simply means cleaning up an object, to others it is tracking down every nut and bolt as manufactured for that piece for that year. We can cater to any side of that scale but in general, with the wide variety of meanings, our take is this, “To make the overall piece better than it was from the factory even if it means that it is not exactly the same. So higher quality paint, stronger built pieces, and longer lasting components are key to that. It includes disassembling, cleaning, painting, polishing, and reassembling at a minimum. Our core values: integrity, quality, and beauty are our guidelines."
We primarily focus on metal restoration. Wooden furniture is not something we typically take on but if it is a project that has both metal and wood, we would love to take a look at it. We often restore wooden items but our specialty is not furniture restoration.
Here are a few types of projects we have restored: pedal cars, tractors, tool chests, anvils, hammers, antique machinery, vices, chemical cabinets.
